Tea Ceremony in Kimonos
As a part of welcoming activities for exchange students, Miyaoka-sensei and the Office of International Exchange arranged a tea ceremony at Shukkeien Garden.
Girls got to try on Kimonos for tea ceremony.
now they know how hard it is to breathe with Obi belt...
During the tea ceremony, we learned the rules and meanings behind each movement as well as how painful sitting in Japanese style for a long time was...

International Snack Day

We had "International Snack Day"on campus. Exchange students brought some snack and sweets from their home country, and Japanese students got to try things they had never seen or tried before. International students also tried some of typical Japanese snack, such as seaweed rice crackers, tea-flavored cakes and umeboshi (pickled plums).
